Roosevelt Collier To Lead California & Colorado Get Downs

Sacred steel specialist Roosevelt Collier is bringing his revolving superjam to the West Coast for the first time this November. Collier’s California Get Down will play three shows in Northern California November 5 – 7. The performances come in addition to another Colorado Get Down later in the month.

Roosevelt will be joined by bassist Norwood Fisher (Fishbone), guitarist Eric McFadden (Parliament Funkadelic Allstars) and drummer Duane Trucks (Widespread Panic) for the three-day run. The run kicks off at Nevada City’s Crazy Horse on November 5 before moving to San Francisco for a performance at the Boom Boom Room with special guests Will Blades and Ronkat (P-Funk Allstars) on November 6. Collier and his ensemble close out the weekend at Lost On Main in Chico on November 7.

After his trip to California, Collier will lead another Colorado Get Down at Boulder’s Fox Theatre on November 19. Roosevelt will be joined by Bill Nershi (String Cheese Incident), Dominic Lalli and Jeremy Salken (Big Gigantic), Joel Cummins (Umphrey’s McGee) and Matt Lapham (Shak Nasti) at the Fox.
