Acclaimed saxophonist Ron Holloway will be honored with a “Play It Forward” benefit concert at Baltimore’s 8×10 on Friday, December 5. The event will support Holloway as he recovers from multiple health issues.

Holloway, a longtime fixture of the Washington D.C. music scene, has performed with the likes of Dizzy Gillespie, Susan Tedeschi, The Allman Brothers Band, Gil Scott-Heron and his eponymous band. Holloway is also a frequent collaborator of Gov’t Mule and Warren Haynes, who called Holloway the “unofficial fifth member of Gov’t Mule.”

“Play It Forward – A Benefit For Ron Holloway” at the 8×10 will include performances by Sunny Trippel’s Dark Side of the Moon Experience, Ed Hough & Friends and Great Northern. Other participants include Tim Palmieri, Patrick Rainey, Deanna Bogart, Kelly Bell and members of the Ron Holloway Band.

Tickets can be purchased by tapping the link below. Donations can be made directly to the Play It Forward: The Ron Holloway Fund GoFundMe campaign.
