The Rolling Stones Play Tour Debut Of ‘Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)’ By Request

Famed rockers The Rolling Stones continued their No Filter Tour of Europe on Tuesday night at Telia Parken in Copenhagen, Denmark. As usual, the band let fans vote on one of the songs they would play and the result was the tour debut of a Goat’s Head Soup classic.

The Stones opened with the trifecta of “Sympathy For The Devil,” “It’s Only Rock & Roll (But I Like It)” and “Tumbling Dice.” From there, the group served up covers of “Just Your Fool” and “Ride ‘Em On Down” from their 2016 blues album Blue & Lonesome. After “Under My Thumb” frontman Mick Jagger announced it was time to play the song voted on by fans. “Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)” then made its tour debut, beating out “Dancing With Mr. D.,” “Emotional Rescue” and “Just My Imagination.

“Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)” was last played by The Rolling Stones on June 23, 2015. Last night’s rendition was just the band’s second since 2007. More hits followed in the form of “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” “Paint It Black” and “Honky Tonk Women.” Guitarist Keith Richards then had a turn in the spotlight for “Happy” and “Slipping Away.” The Rolling Stones concluded the 18-song main set with a string of hits including “Street Fighting Man,” “Miss You,” “Start Me Up,” “Brown Sugar” and “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.” For the encore, the group said farewell to the Danish crowd with “Gimme Shelter” and “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.”
