In an interview with Express Hot Rod said, “I’d like to return with The Faces. (Former Faces and current Stones guitarist) Ronnie (Wood) and I talk about it, and when the Stones finish – Mick is several years older than me – we’ll have a window of opportunity, if we’re not on Zimmers.”
The Faces reunited without Stewart for a handful of shows and festival appearances between 2009 and 2011 and performed at their 2012 Rock Hall induction without Rod. Who knows how long The Rolling Stones will continue, despite the original members’ advanced ages, but we’re hopeful Rod and Ronnie get it together before it’s too late.
In other Faces-related news, AV Club have posted the latest installment of Undercover 2013, which finds Manchester Orchestra covering Faces’ “Ooh La La.” Check it out…
