RockyGrass Radio Announces ‘Pickin’ Through The Years’ Lineup & Schedule

Organizers of the RockyGrass Festival, which was supposed to take place this weekend until the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic led to its cancelation, put together standout archival performances for RockyGrass Pickin’ Through The Years. The three-day audio event will air via KGNU this Friday, July 24 through Sunday, July 26.

Friday’s broadcast starts at 11 a.m. MT and ends at 8 p.m. MT. Sets from Peter Rowan (2007), Carolina Chocolate Drops (2013), David Grisman (2010) and Hot Rize (2014) will be among those aired. Additionally, The Blue Canyon Boys and Tim O’Brien will perform live.

Then, on Saturday, Pickin’ Through The Years runs from 9 a.m. MT – 9 p.m. MT. Past RockyGrass sets from Del McCoury Band (2013), The Infamous Stringdusters (2012), I’m With Her (2015) and Sam Bush (2005, 2007, 2008, 2009) are just some of the performances that will be broadcast. Taarka will play live as will RockyGrass Instrument Contest Winners.

Pickin’ Through The Years concludes on Sunday from 11 a.m. MT – 9 p.m. MT. Nick Forster’s Hippy Bluegrass Church (2019), Doc Watson & David Holt (2010), Punch Brothers (2012) and Ricky Skaggs & Bruce Hornsby (2014) are a few of the archival sets which will air with Natalie Padilla performing live.
