Guitarist Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes used his instrument to help force an unruly concertgoer off the stage at a recent concert. The unfortunate incident went down at the Palais Theatre in Melbourne on Sunday, where the band was ending their Australian tour.
The Black Crowes had just started “Stare It Cold” when a man jumped on stage. The stage invader was quickly chased by security but threw off those defending the band and made his way toward Rich Robinson. Frontman Chris Robinson attempted to kick the man and used his mic stand to fend off the intruder. Rich finally had enough and chopped the man with his axe and helped push him off the stage.
“Hey, you throw that motherfucker out,” Rich exclaimed as the man walked out of the performance space. Security is seen following him and reportedly ejected the man from the venue. While “Stare It Cold” was cut short when the stage was invaded, The Black Crowes went on to restart the song and concluded the tune without further incident.

The Black Crowes return to the stage in February for a two-night run in Las Vegas.
