Report: LCD Soundsystem To Reunite & Headline Coachella

Once again word of an LCD Soundsystem reunion happening has surfaced, this time with The New York Times reporting the band will headline next year’s Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California. Earlier this year Consequence of Sound and Billboard reported frontman James Murphy would reunite LCD Soundsystem next year, though the band’s label manager of Murphy and LCD Soundsystem’s DFA Records staunchly denied the report.

LCD Soundsystem ended a 10-year career with a sold-out, farewell concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City on April 2, 2011. Their reunion comes amid rumors of Guns N’ Roses also reuniting (with members Slash and Axl Rose) at next year’s Coachella as well.

Last week, on Christmas Eve LCD Soundsystem shared a new holiday song – their first new music since breaking up – entitled “Christmas Will Break Your Heart” which you can stream below:
