Reports have surfaced that a multi-day concert event featuring legendary musicians Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, The Who and Roger Waters is close to being confirmed. The historic festival would take place at Empire Polo Field in Indio, California, the site of Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival and Phish’s Festival 8.

According to The Los Angeles Times, Coachella organizer Goldenvoice is behind the three-day event, purportedly planned for October 7 – 9. The six Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductees have never shared the same bill together and it would also mark the first time Dylan and McCartney would be in the same lineup. The Rolling Stones and Dylan are said to be scheduled for October 7, while McCartney and Neil Young + Promise Of The Real are slated for October 8 and Waters and The Who will close out on October 9.

“It’s so special in so many ways because you won’t get a chance to see a bill like this, perhaps ever again,” Elliot Roberts, Neil Young’s manager told The Times, “It’s a show I look forward to more than any show in a long time.”

Unlike the multi-stage setup employed during Coachella, The Times reports the October event would take place on just one main stage, which would mirror Phish’s 2009 Festival 8. Read the full Times article here.
