SIRE RECORDS RELEASES BETTER ON COLOR 7′ VINYL

Regina Spektor
Regina Spektor is proud to announce a North American tour beginning September 19 in Baltimore, MD. The 26-date tour will be in support of her critically acclaimed album, BEGIN TO HOPE, which reached #20 on the Billboard Top 100. With the enormous success of the Russian-born, Bronx-bred musician’s first single, “Fidelity,” BEGIN TO HOPE is quickly approaching RIAA Gold status in the U.S and has been certified Gold in Australia and Silver in the U.K. In addition to performing at this year’s Austin City Limits Festival, PBS’s music television program, Austin City Limits, will film an intimate performance with the chanteuse, set to air in early 2008.

A VH1 “You Oughta Know” artist, Regina has spent the last 11 months selling out 3,000+ capacity venues around the world and has made recent noteworthy stops at Coachella, V Festival, the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, and Lollapalooza among others. The Chicago Sun-Times described her appearance at Lollapalooza as “an unexpected, impressive and inspiring performance.” The Associated Press, who caught her at Bonnaroo, said of all the incredible artists at the festival, “the best showing by far came from Regina Spektor.”

Sire Records will release a “re-cut” version of Regina’s second single, “Better,” on 7′ color vinyl August 28. Showing a slightly rockier side to the classically-trained pianist, “Better” is a song in which Regina whispers, croons and woos with her inimitable voice and offers us her take on love, pain and everything between. In addition to being used for an XM radio television commercial, “Better” made several Top 10 Year End lists including Rolling Stone, Spin and Blender to name a few. The B-Side to the vinyl single will be a “piano and voice” version of “Better.”
