RAYE returned to The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Tuesday to showcase songs from This Music May Contain Hope., her recently released sophomore studio album. The British singer-songwriter performed “Click Clack Symphony.” for episode proper and then delivered a bonus performance of “Joy.”

Much has changed for RAYE since she last visited Colbert in February of 2023 to perform “Escapism.” The song from her debut studio album, My 21st Century Blues, became her first UK number-one single and first top-ten entry on the Billboard Global 200 chart. RAYE went on with six BRIT Awards the following year, with Album Of The Year and Artist Of The Year among them.

This Music May Contain Hope. arrived last month and debuted at the top of the charts in her homeland, while reaching the 11-slot in the U.S. The album’s third single, “Click Clack Symphony.,” was recorded with and features songwriter contributions from famed German film composer Hans Zimmer.

RAYE’s “Click Clack Symphony.” performance was shot in black-and-white. The vocalist was accompanied by her full band, including younger sisters Lauren (Amma) and Abby-Lynn (Absolutely) as part of a choir of backing vocalists.

Absolutely and Amma, who support their sibling on her current world tour, were featured in the “Joy.” performance. RAYE burst into color for the uplifting “Joy.,” which also saw her backed by the choir and her touring band.
