Jamgrass act Railroad Earth continued their winter tour at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta on Friday and Saturday night. Sacred steel specialist Roosevelt Collier opened each show with his trio and then sat-in at the end of both first sets in Atlanta. In other RRE news, the band recently extended the tour into late April.

The newly-added April dates start with two nights at George’s Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville, Arkansas on the 18th and 19th. RRE then heads to Dallas for a performance at the Granada Theater on the 20th. Other recently confirmed dates are April 24th at Duling Hall in Jackson, Mississippi; April 27th at Avondale Brewing Company in Birmingham and April 28th at The Blind Tiger in Greensboro.

On Friday, Roosevelt Collier emerged at the end of Railroad Earth’s first set to lend a hand on “Reuben’s Train” and “Sisters & Brothers.” Roosevelt did the same on Saturday, when he added to Railroad Earth’s first set-closing rendition of “Long Way To Go.” Audio of both shows can be streamed below.
