Pro-Shot: Widespread Panic Shares Video Of ‘Let It Rock’ From Pensacola
On September 20 Widespread Panic brought their Fall Tour to Pensacola, Florida for a show at the Saenger Theatre. During the first set WSP offered a take on Chuck Berry’s “Let It Rock” and the band has shared official video footage of the cover performance.
Packaged between “You Got Yours” and “Heroes,” frontman John Bell led the group through their third rendition in 2016 of the long-covered song. The 8+ minute version from Pensacola gave guitarist Jimmy Herring and keyboardist JoJo Hermann plenty of space to take extended solos.
Watch the black-and-white video of “Let It Rock” shot and edited by Andy Tennille and mixed by Brett Orrison, as well as the previously shared bust out of “Coconut” from the same show below:
Widespread Panic returns to the road tonight for the first of three shows at Riverside Theater in Milwaukee.
