Earlier this month Wilco performed a number of shows in Europe in support of their recently issued new album Schmilco. While in Utrecht, The Netherlands the band played a pair of tracks from the new record as part of the La Blogotheque A Take Away Show series.
Recorded in the restoration room of Utrecht’s Museum Speelklok during Le Guess Who? Festival, frontman Jeff Tweedy led the ensemble through a stripped down take on the Schmilco tune “If I Ever Was A Child.” He and fellow guitarist Nels Cline also recorded a duet version of the album track “Normal American Kids.” Directed by Hugo Jouxtel watch the intimate footage below:
