Pro-Shot Video: Phil Lesh Sits-In With Midnight North In Bridgeport

On Sunday, Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh had the night off following two shows at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York and took the opportunity to sit-in with his son Grahame Lesh and his band Midnight North. The elder Lesh was welcomed to the stage last evening at The Acoustic in Bridgeport, Connecticut ahead of his return to The Cap for another Phil & Friends show tonight.

Phil emerged at the end of the band’s first set to play bass and sing a verse on a rendition of the Dead’s “Cumberland Blues.” Multi-cam pro-shot footage of the entire Midnight North show was posted by The Acoustic. Watch the two set performance (Phil takes the stage at ~48:28) below:

Midnight North plays Garcia’s at The Capitol Theatre tonight, while Phil Lesh & Friends featuring Larry Campbell, Luther Dickinson, Barry Sless, Jason Crosby, John Molo, Teresa Williams, Nicki Bluhm will play the main room at the venue.
