Yesterday the 2016 Global Citizen Festival was held at the Great Lawn in New York City’s Central Park. The annual charity concert featured guest appearances by Eddie Vedder during performances by Yusuf/Cat Stevens and Chris Martin.

Playing electric guitar, the Pearl Jam frontman joined the piano-playing Coldplay frontman at the start of the latter’s performance for a take on Crowded House’s “Don’t Dream It’s Over.” Next, Vedder sang Pearl Jam’s “Nothingman” with Martin providing the lone instrumentation. Vedder was back on electric guitar, while Martin moved to acoustic guitar for a rendition of Patti Smith’s “People Have the Power.”

Earlier in the day Vedder sat-in during a performance by Yusuf/Cat Stevens. Vedder came out to share vocals with the iconic musician on the classic “Father & Son.” Below are videos of Eddie’s collaboration with Martin (as well as Martin’s rendition of Prince’s “Raspberry Beret”) followed by video of the full concert – Eddie joins Yusuf/Cat Stevens at ~2:33:25 – watch here:
