Prince’s New Power Generation Announces NYC Residency

According to our friends at Dr. Funkenberry, Prince’s New Power Generation will visit intimate New York City venue City Winery for six shows later this month. Shelby Johnson and Liv Warfield will front the New Power Generation for the shows, which will also feature the NPG Hornz. Dr. Funkenberry reports that Prince will perform at one of the shows.

The NPG will play two shows a piece at the NYC venue on August 21 and 22 and then return on the 23rd and 25th for one performance on those nights. Dr. Funkenberry tells us tickets will cost $75-$100 a set, with ducats for the Sunday set running a spendy $200 -$350. Tickets go on sale this Thursday, August 8.
