Prince’s Backing Band The Revolution Confirms Run Of Spring Shows

Following the death of renowned guitarist Prince last year his former backing band The Revolution reunited for a tribute concert at First Avenue in Minneapolis. The group has now confirmed four additional shows taking place in various cities this spring.

Featuring a lineup of guitarist Wendy Melvoin alongside keyboardists Lisa Coleman and Dr. Fink, bassist BrownMark, drummer Bobby Z, the band will perform in Chicago at the Metro on April 23, in Washington D.C. at The Fillmore Silver Spring on April 27, in New York City at B.B. King’s on April 28 and in Philadelphia at the Theatre Of Living Arts on April 29.

The four show run follows a previously announced appearance at Prince’s Paisley Park complex in Chanhassen, Minnesota as part of the Celebration 2017 event taking place on April 20 – 23. The Purple One’s associates and collaborators performing alongside The Revolution include Morris Day & The Time and members of The New Power Generation and 3RDEYEGIRL.
