Post Malone brought his Big Ass Tour to Paris on Wednesday night, where he was joined by surprise guest Chris Stapleton. The pair teamed up to perform their “California Sober” collaboration at Paris La Défense Arena.
Stapleton reprised his appearance on Malone’s 2024 country album F-1 Trillion. Post Malone wrote “California Sober” with Chris Stapleton, Charlie Handsome, Louis Bell and Mark Holman. The duo previously performed the song together to kick off the 2024 CMA Awards.

The unexpected duet took place halfway through Posty’s 26-song headlining set. Chris Stapleton took the stage to rapturous applause from the Parisian crowd. “Chris, you’re one handsome son of a bitch. Thanks for coming out,” Malone exclaimed. “Ladies and gentlemen, one more time for the absolute legend Chris Stapleton.”
The performance marked the tour’s first “California Sober.” Malone and Stapleton both strummed acoustic guitars as they belted out the swaggering tune backed by Posty’s band.

The Big Ass Tour rolls on to Hanover, Germany on Friday, September 5. Post Malone concludes the European leg of the outing on September 14 in Lisbon.
