Pitchfork Launches Concert Series In New York City

Tickets for the first event with Big Freedia, Dawn Richard and more are on sale now.

Pitchfork detailed a new concert series, Pitchfork Presents, set to take place in New York City at Queens’ Knockdown Center. The first event is set for Sunday, August 21 from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET and will see performances by Big Freedia, Dawn Richard, Hurray for the Riff Raff and more.

Each event in Pitchfork’s new concert series is built around a dedicated theme pulled from the music publication’s editorial coverage. The aforementioned showcase in August is billed as an “end-of-summer party showcasing a lineup of cutting-edge artists whose work has been spotlighted by Pitchfork,” as per a press release. Along with Big Freedia, Dawn Richard and Hurray for the Riff Raff, the August 21 event will also see performances by billy woods, Mega Bog, Water From Your Eyes, Katie Alice Greer, Jane Remover and Soul Glo.
