Pigeons Playing Ping Pong Announce Domefest: Party In The Pods Socially Distanced Concerts
By Scott Bernstein Feb 24, 2021 • 9:10 am PST
Pigeons Playing Ping Pong will present a pair of “Domefest: Party In The Pods” socially distanced concerts this spring to replace their annual Domefest event due to the pandemic. The pod-style two-night event will be held at Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio May 21 – 22.
“Domefest: Party In The Pods” will feature two Pigeons Playing Ping Pong shows. Special guests will be on hand as part of an event that will also feature a performance from The Domefest All-Stars, an ensemble consisting of past Domefest musicians.
“Obviously we’ve been keeping a close eye on the pandemic and vaccine as it relates to live events,” explained frontman Greg Ormont. “Domefest always kicks off our summer with a bang, and we think this year’s Party In The Pods will be the best way for our fans to get together and cut loose in the safest way possible. I can’t describe how excited we are to finally play in front of The Flock again.”
Pods spans eight feet by eight feet with a six-foot buffer on each side. The pods have room for a maximum of five concertgoers with a minimum of two attendees. Head here for details on safety procedures and protocols in place at Legend Valley. Pods, VIP packages and limited camping spaces go on sale via Ticketspice this Friday, February 26 at 10 a.m. ET.
