Funk revivalists Lettuce finally played a concert originally scheduled for January 23 last night at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. Lettuce’s original date was derailed by a massive blizzard that hit the Northeast back in January. The London Souls opened last night’s concert at The Cap. Longtime collaborator Nigel Hall led Lettuce for a portion of their set including a cover of Charles Wright’s “Express Yourself.” N.W.A. heavily sampled “Express Yourself” in 1988 for a song of the same name and last night the rap legends were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. Lettuce guitarist Eric Krasno did not perform with the band on Friday as he was out in the Bay Area with Billy & The Kids.
