Photographer Adam McCullough is currently in New Orleans enjoying all that the Crescent City has to offer this Jazz Fest season. While we had previously shared his photos from Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Fairgrounds for the first weekend of this year’s New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, he has spent each night hopping between clubs to capture awe-inspiring late night performances. Today, Adam has shared photos documenting the first part of his Jazz Fest After Dark experience.

Last Friday night Adam caught Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals at The Orpheum. He then headed to Preservation Hall to watch Preservation Hall Jazz Band celebrate the release of So It Is with specical guest Jon Batiste. On Saturday, McCullough started at the House Of Blues where Wyclef Jean was joined by special guests the Soul Brass Band and then went to Republic for Twiddle. Blue Nile was sold out for The Wahala Boys and Tank And The Bangas on Sunday, but thankfully Adam made it in.

On Monday, Adam captured the impressive trio of drummer Johnny Vidacovich, keyboardist John Medeski and bassist Oteil Burbridge at dba featuring a guest appearance from Kofi Burbridge. The evening ended with a Red Baraat night cap at Blue Nile. It was back to Blue Nile last night for DRKWAV featuring Medeski, Skerik and Adam Deitch followed by Too Many Zooz in Blue Nile’s Balcony Room. Check out the full gallery:
