Phoebe Bridgers donned a football jersey with her trademark skeleton insignia while leading “Sidelines” on Wednesday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Bridgers was backed by piano and strings for the beautiful rendition of her new single.
The introspective “Sidelines” comes from the Hulu series Conversations With Friends. Bridgers released “Sidelines” in April and first performed the song live last month in Phoenix before her Coachella appearance. Phoebe penned “Sidelines” with Marshall Vore and Ruby Rain Henley.
Bridgers is currently on the road in support of her 2020 LP, Punisher. Phoebe debuted a Bruce Springsteen cover in Asbury Park on Monday and then played two nights in Brooklyn. Next up is a trip to the U.K.
