Phoebe Bridgers Releases ‘Sidelines’ Single
The new song was written for Hulu’s upcoming series, ‘Conversations With Friends.’

Phoebe Bridgers released, “Sidelines,” a new single written for the upcoming Hulu series, Conversations With Friends. The song will be the only new original music issued by Bridgers this year.
Conversations With Friends, an adaptation of Sally Rooney’s book, will premiere on May 15. Hulu recruited Bridgers, an admirer of Rooney’s writing, to create “Sidelines,” which was co-written with Bridgers’ bandmate Marshall Vore and Ruby Rain Henley.

Bridgers shared the single, “Chinese Satellite (Live from Sound City),” in March as part of Secretly Canadian’s 25th anniversary “SC25 Singles” series, benefiting the non-profit organization New Hope For Families. Bridgers is currently on tour and will perform at Coachella this weekend and next weekend. Her Cochella set this evening will be livestreamed via YouTube.
