Signaling Phish's imminent return to the road, a fresh installment in their archival series has been released. The twenty second volume of Live Bait, available for streaming and download at no cost through LivePhish.com, showcases handpicked concert recordings from the band’s archives.

Archivist Kevin Shapiro has selected performances captured in the very locations Phish will visit during their upcoming spring and summer tours. Shapiro went heavy on the 1990s as 12 of the 14 tracks featured on Live Bait Vol. 22 are from that magical decade in Phish history.

The new compilation begins with a “Stash” recorded on April 5, 1993 in Seattle and continues with a “Mike’s Groove”/”Mango Song” pairing from the band’s April 24, 1992 concert in Portland (Oregon). Stops on Phish’s spring tour, which starts on Friday in Seattle, are also represented by a “Harry Hood” played in San Francisco on October 15, 1998 and a “Reba” from the band’s visit to Los Angeles on December 1, 1996.

Live Bait Vol. 22 also previews the quartet’s forthcoming summer tour. There’s a “You Enjoy Myself” from November 24, 1991 in Hanover (New Hampshire), “Bathtub Gin” from November 24, 1995 in Pittsburgh and 16-minute “Down With Disease” captured during Phish’s September 24, 1999 show in Austin.

Additional tracks featured on the compilation include “Magilla” into “Foam” from November 3, 1990 in Boulder, “Roggae” from July 31, 1998 in Columbus, a “Divided Sky” with “Rhombus Narration” from November 10, 1991 in Charleston (South Carolina), “Run Like An Antelope” from July 18, 1992 in Philadelphia and an expansive “Gumbo” performed in Tinley Park (Illinois) on August 8, 1997. Live Bait Vol. 22 ends with its oldest and newest selections, respectively — “Oh Kee Pa Ceremony” into “AC/DC Bag” from band’s December 15, 1989 show in New York City and a “Waves” performed in Saratoga Springs, New York on June 20, 2004.
