This all started back in April when Anastasio told a crowd at a TAB show in Seattle about his plan to get Seahawks fans to chant “Wilson” as the quarterback walks on the field. Then, when Phish played The Gorge last month, Trey donned a Seahawks t-shirt bearing Wilson’s name and number before reminding the audience of his grand plan.
The plan started to come together last night when an audible “Wi-l-son” chant reverberated around CenturyLink Field as the quarterback ran on the field. Thanks to YouTuber TheNaturalStoner, we can hear how it went down:
Is this just the beginning for the Wilson chant at Seahawks games? We’ll find out on September 15, when the Seattle team plays their home opener against the San Francisco 49ers. Meanwhile, Phish kicks off a three-night stand at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Colorado tonight. Here’s a look at 10 Phish songs that have gone missing in 2013.
