Phil Lesh & Friends To Re-create Grateful Dead Shows At Capitol Theatre

In just a few days Phil Lesh will kickoff a run of six Phil Lesh & Friends performances at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. Today, the venue announced Lesh and his band will re-create classic Grateful Dead shows at two of the upcoming performances.
On November 1, Phil Lesh will team with Stanley Jordan, John Kadlecik, Jason Crosby, Tony Leone and newly announced special guest Scott Metzger to re- create a Grateful Dead show that took place 30 years to the day prior at the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia. A recording of the Dead show, which featured such rarities as “Day Job,” “She Belongs To Me,” “Gloria” and “Comes A Time” was released as Dick’s Picks, Vol. 21. Tickets are available via Ticketfly.

On November 5, Phil Lesh will team with David Nelson, Barry Sless, Scott Law, Jason Crosby and John Molo to re-create one of the best Grateful Dead shows to take place at The Capitol Theatre – February 19, 1971. A recording of this vintage Grateful Dead show, which featured the debuts of “Bird Song” and “Deal,” was released as Three From The Vault. Tickets are available via Ticketfly.
