Phil Lesh And Friends Continue Rolling Stones Tribute In NYC

Phil and his band continue to mix it up and are putting less of a focus on Grateful Dead material this tour. American Jubilee’s set included takes on the Let It Bleed tracks “You Got The Silver” and “Monkey Man,” leaving just one song off the album for Lesh & Friends to perform. “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” finally emerged in the second set sung by Osborne, who also fronted the band on the bonus Stones cover of “Brown Sugar” later in the evening. Phil’s sets also contained a bevy of diverse covers from the likes of Van Morrison (“And It Stoned Me”), Neil Young (“Cortez The Killer”) and The Band (“The Weight”).
