Phil Lesh And Friends Conclude Four-Night Terrapin Run

For his latest run of Phil Lesh & Friends shows at Terrapin Crossroads, Lesh was joined by multi-instrumentalists Jason Crosby and Jackie Greene as well as North Mississippi Allstars guitarist Luther Dickinson and drummer Cody Dickinson. Last night the newly-formed ensemble played their fourth of four consecutive shows at the San Rafael, CA venue.

The group opened last night’s finale with “Scarlet Begonias” and worked through a varied mix of songs for the first set that included Bob Dylan’s “Girl From The North Country,” “Blue Sky” by the Allman Brothers and Jackie Greene’s “Gone Wanderin’.” Lesh’s ensemble presented a jam-heavy second set that featured a drums and a drum/bass segment out of “Dancing In The Streets,” a spacey jam out of “The Wheel” and was book-ended by sections of “Playing In The Band.” Fittingly, the group said farewell with a “Brokedown Palace” encore.
