Tonight, Pearl Jam was originally scheduled to play the first of two shows at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam to conclude a tour of Europe that was postponed due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. The band released video featuring a performance of “Down” from their June 12, 2018 at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome during their last visit to the city.
Eddie Vedder and Mike McCready wrote “Down” for the sessions that yielded 2002’s Riot Act. While “Down” didn’t make it onto the album, the song was released as a B-side to the “I Am Mine” single and issued on the Lost Dogs rarities collection in 2003.
