The 2018 Peach Music Festival will be held at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pennsylvania on July 19 – 22. Organizers of the event have announced two special discussions focusing on the Grateful Dead and The Allman Brothers Band.
Noted journalist and The Allman Brothers Band biographer Alan Paul will be joined by the group’s co-founding percussionist Jaimoe for a discussion on Friday, July 19. The pair will talk about the legendary Southern rock band’s legacy during the chat slated for 12 p.m. in The Lodge.
Veteran rock photographer Jay Blakesberg will lead a discussion in The Lodge starting at noon on Saturday, July 21. Blakesberg will present a slideshow retrospective from his 45-year career beginning with shooting the Grateful Dead in 1977 and continuing through the band members’ other affiliated projects to the present and Dead & Company.
