Singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile brought her band to The Caverns in Tennessee back in April to perform a set that was filmed for the long-running live music program Bluegrass Underground. PBS will premiere Brandi Carlile In Concert: A Bluegrass Underground Special this Friday, August 3 at 10 p.m. ET. Check local listings to confirm the start time on your local PBS station.

“It’s perfect harmony to play the music of nature from within it,” Carlile said of performing at the gorgeous venue 333 feet below ground. Brandi appreciated the sound of The Caverns, “It was really incredible after 15 years of trying to re-create that sound in the studio…to hear it occur naturally in The Caverns.” The Washington native was joined not only by her longtime collaborators bassist Phil Hanseroth and guitarist Tim Hanseroth but also by a string section.

Brandi Carlile’s Bluegrass Underground set was heavy on material from her most recent album By The Way, I Forgive You as well as other original gems and a cover of Elton John’s “Madman Across The Water.” Watch a preview of Brandi Carlile’s appearance on Bluegrass Underground:
