Oteil Burbridge & Antwaun Stanley Join Lettuce At Fool’s Paradise

The 2nd annual Fool’s Paradise concert event returned to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre in St. Augustine, Florida for the first of two days yesterday. Friday’s action featured a guest-filled performance by funk outfit Lettuce who welcomed a pair of artists-at-large to share the stage.
Dead & Company bassist Oteil Burbridge emerged to join fellow bassist Erick “Jesus” Coomes and the rest of the collective on a cover of War’s “Slippin’ Into Darkness” and that incorporated elements of B.T. Express’ “Do It (‘Til You’re Satisfied).” After Burbridge’s sit-in, vocalist Antwaun Stanley was brought out to lead a rendition of Tower Of Power’s “Knock Yourself Out.” The frequent Vulfpeck collaborator was also enlisted to sing the “Do It Like You Do” encore.
