Orville Peck Announces New Album ‘Mule’ & Shares 2 Tracks + 2026 Fall Tour Dates

Orville Peck announced a new album, Mule, arriving September 18 and followed by the Man Turned Mule Tour this fall. The country artist previewed the new record with a pair of tracks including “Prologue (Eulogy Of A Man Turned Mule),” featuring Emmylou Harris, Noah Cyrus and Allison Russell.

“Peck’s fourth LP unfolds as a chronological timeline of the year that reshaped his life, tracing the collapse of addiction, the difficult pursuit of sobriety, and the slow, often uncertain process of rebuilding,” press materials noted of Peck’s new album. “Told with unflinching honesty, humor, and compassion, Mule finds Peck confronting love, loss, and identity through songs that move fluidly between classic country storytelling, bluegrass, and expansive Americana.”

To set the scene, Peck shared the album’s opening track, “Prologue (Eulogy Of A Man Turned Mule).” Featured artists Emmylou Harris, Noah Cyrus and Allison Russell represent “three generations of female country icons harmonizing lyrics written and arranged by Peck,” as per the press release. The trio also appear in the accompanying music video to sing the “Eulogy Of A Man Turned Mule.”

The country rocker “Too Little, Too Late” is a deep cut on the record with producer Jay Joyce (Patty Griffin, Eric Church) at the helm. Peck co-wrote the tune with Dan Wilson (The Chicks, Laufey) and Steve Rusch (Beyoncé, Jessie Murph).

Orville Peck embarks on the Man Turned Mule Tour this fall, getting things underway on September 18 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

Additional stops in Oregon, Montana, California, Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, New York, Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Ontario, Quebec and Massachusetts follow.

The Man Turned Mule Tour wraps on November 22 at The Paramount in Huntington, New York. Abbie Callahan will support on most dates.

Various presales begin on Tuesday, July 28 and run through the week ahead of general onsales beginning on Friday, July 31 at 10 a.m. local. $1 from every ticket sold will benefit The Trevor Project, aiding the nonprofit’s mission to provide crisis intervention and suicide prevention services for LGBTQ+ young people.
