Monterey County Fairgrounds will once again host the Monterey International Pop Festival in celebration of the famed 1967 three-day concert. On June 16 – 18 Another Planet Entertainment will present a musical celebration of the Summer Of Love at the same site it was held 50 years prior.

The 1967 Monterey Pop concert was noted for standout performances by Otis Redding, Janis Joplin, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, the Grateful Dead and several others. Lou Adler, who co-produced the 1967 event, has been brought in by APE to help stage this year’s festival.

The anniversary event is expected to bring 10,000 daily concert goers. The lineup of performers and ticketing on-sale dates for the 2017 Monterey International Pop Anniversary Festival will be revealed soon.
