Old Settler’s Music Festival revealed the first 10 acts featured on the event’s 2023 lineup including Yola, The Wood Brothers and Shovels & Rope. The four-day event with a focus on roots and Americana music returns to the Old Settler’s Homestead in Tilmon/Dale, Texas for its 36th-anniversary edition April 20 – 23, 2023.

Shinyribs, The Brothers Comatose, Big Richard, Twisted Pine, Buffalo Nichols, Matt The Electrican and Flounders Without Eyes round out the initial Old Settler’s Music Festival 2023 lineup. The rest of the bill will follow early next year.

The long-running festival’s “forever home” outside Austin has been reimagined for next year’s installment in an effort to display the site’s lush setting and to give attendees more intimacy and flexibility. Changes include an expanded campground store, no separation between the arena and fence and daytime acts kept to the campground stage.

“Stay tuned for more to unfold on how we are going to connect with the natural beauty of the tree-covered campgrounds, how you’ll be able to move more easily and freely throughout the festival grounds discovering new elements along the way, and how we are going back to our roots to include more of the campground jams and pickin’ circles we all know and love,” noted organizers on the festival’s website.
