Old Crow Medicine Show Marks 25th Anniversary With New Album ‘Jubilee’ & Reunites With Willie Watson On Lead Single

Old Crow Medicine Show confirmed a new album, Jubilee, set to arrive on August 25 ATO Records as part of the band’s 25th anniversary celebration this year. OCMS previewed the record marking their silver jubilee with the single “Miles Away,” which features former member and OCMS co-founder Willie Watson.
The aptly named Jubilee follows Old Crow Medicine Show’s 2022 LP Paint This Town. OCMS teamed back up with Matt Ross-Spang (Drive-By Truckers, St. Paul & the Broken Bones) to co-produce Jubilee at the band’s Hartland Studios in Nashville. The album sees guest spots from soul legend Mavis Staples and rising singer-songwriter Sierra Ferrell — as well as from Willie Watson.
Jubilee lead single “Miles Away” marks Old Crow Medicine Show co-founder and former member Willie Watson’s first appearance on an OCMS track in over a decade. The song saw frontman and Watson’s fellow co-founder Ketch Secor co-writing with frequent collaborator Molly Tuttle. Secor further detailed “Miles Away.”
“This is one of those rearview songs where objects in the mirror are closer than they appear. 25 years of making music on the road means you’re always coming back to the same places as a different person; there’s a reminder of your past self and the choices you made back when.
“Molly Tuttle and I wrote this one together and when it was through, I asked my Old Crow co-founder Willie Watson to make his first appearance on an Old Crow record in years. After all, this is a song about amends, of bygones being bygones, and of renewal.”
