Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival Details Initial 2017 Lineup

Following a successful inaugural installment earlier this year the Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival will return to Okeechobee, Florida from March 2 – 5, 2017. Today organizers have detailed the initial lineup for next year’s festival.

Rockers Kings Of Leon are a top the bill along with a collaboration between Usher and The Roots and EDM star Bassnectar. The Lumineers, Flume, Wiz Khalifa, Pretty Lights, Solange, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, GRiZ, The Revivalists, Allen Stone, Galactic, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Khruangbin, Con Brio, TAUK, Perpetual Groove and Moon Taxi are also among the acts on the diverse Okeechobee ’17 lineup.

Once again Okeechobee will host PoWow!, a mashup collaboration featuring special guests that will be announced closer to the start of the festival. Another intriguing performance comes from Blind Boys Of Alabama and Allen Stone, who will team with additional performers for a set dubbed “Okeechobee Gospel Soul Experience.” Kevin Collinsworth of Okeechobee organizers Soundslinger said, “We are excited to build upon the success of OMF 16. This year’s lineup is great and we have more surprises to come. We are opening up more of our amazing property for people to explore, and continuing to invest in art and the overall festival experience. Can’t wait to open the doors on March 2nd!” In addition to the music, festivalgoers can expect diverse food, wild art, yoga and healing workshops, swimming and dancing.

Soundslinger has invested in new art, amenities and infrastructure for next year’s second installment of Okeechobee. The company aims to do “everything possible to respect and cherish the natural beauty” of the 600-acre Sunshine Groove, where the event is held, by utilizing as many biodegradable, repurposed, recycled and sustainable materials as possible.

A limited quantity of both 3-day and 4-day Early Bird festival tickets as well as Early Bird VIP packages are on sale now via the festival’s website. Once the limited quantity of Early Bird tickets are sold out, additional GA tickets will be available at the Tier 1 price. Plenty of high end options are available including the Eternal Sunshine VIP Boutique Camping Experience and a Super VIP Luxury Tour Bus package called “The Grand Kachobee.” Look for additional major artists and other news about Okeechobee ’17 to be announced in the coming weeks.
