A few days ago we told you about a report that Neil Young would be making his Telluride debut this fall with Promise Of The Real. Today, the two-day concert event has been confirmed.
Neil Young & Promise Of The Real will play Telluride’s Town Park on September 30 and October 1. “Neil Young is in that genre and demographic that for me screams ‘Telluride,’” said Steve Gumble, of Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, who is organizing the concerts with the Telluride Bluegrass Festival’s Craig Ferguson. “He’s been a part of many people’s lives for decades. His style, his environmentalism — it’s a really good fit for Telluride. This is a dream come true, not only for myself, but many people in Telluride. I am honored to be a part of these concerts which are sure to be legendary.”
Neil Young joins fellow music legends the Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan and Phish as artists among those that have headlined Town Park at their own concerts. “I believe Neil is the artist Telluride has been most wanting to see,” said Craig Ferguson.
Two-Day Passes are $199 each, plus fees, Friday and Saturday Single-Day Passes are $125 each, plus fees and 3-Day Camping Passes are $75, plus fees. Details about all the ticket options can be found via the event’s website.
