Last year, Pitchfork and the outlet’s beer-focused October website teamed up to present the inaugural OctFest craft beer and music festival in Brooklyn. Today, the initial lineup for the 2018 installment of OctFest has been revealed. OctFest will move to New York City’s Governors Island and will be held on September 8 and 9.
The two-day event will feature 20 musical acts and beer from over 70 breweries. Vince Staples, BADBADNOTGOOD, Saba, Preoccupations, Vagabon and Madison McFerrin will be among the musical acts to play the festival on September 8. The Flaming Lips, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Yo La Tengo, Hop Along and No Age have been confirmed to perform at OctFest ’18 on September 9. Stay tuned for the rest of the lineup to be revealed.
Tickets are on sale now via Eventbrite. Each single-day ticket will entitle the purchasers to 15 3oz samples from the festival breweries of their choosing. Those who buy weekend tickets will get 15 each day for a total of 30. Additional samples can be purchased for $1.50 per 3oz serving.
