One of the more frustrating aspects of trying to score tickets to high demand shows is seeing listing on secondary sites before the tickets go on sale to the general public. New York Attorney General Eric Schniederman has an issue with Bruce Springsteen tickets appearing on secondary sites ahead of Friday’s on-sale and on Monday issued letters to StubHub, TicketNetwork and Vivid Seats asking for clarification about if the tickets listed truly do exist.
ABC News reports TicketNetwork has taken down listings for Springsteen tickets until Friday’s on-sale. A spokesman for Vivid Seats told ABC News the company has a goal of ensuring a positive ticket-buying experience, while a representative for StubHub says the firm is reviewing the letter but feels all tickets listed on the site truly do exist and aren’t “speculative.”

The AG aims to meet with the companies to discuss “speculative ticket” listings in which a seller lists a ticket that doesn’t truly exist and will try to give the purchaser a similar seat to the one listed. Let’s hope he has success ending this awful practice.
