Northlands Music & Arts Festival Initial 2023 Lineup Includes Return Of Mike Gordon’s Band
The second annual event takes place June 16 – 17, 2023 in Swanzey, New Hampshire.
The String Cheese Incident, Twiddle and Goose acoustic offshoot Orebolo are among the acts atop the initial lineup of the 2023 Northlands Music & Arts Festival in Swanzey, New Hampshire. Phish bassist Mike Gordon is also set the play the two-day event returning to the Northlands Fairgrounds June 16 – 17, 2023.
Mike’s solo band — most recently consisting of Gordon on bass, drummer John Kimock, percussionist Craig Myers, guitarist Scott Murawski and keyboardist Robert Walter — has not performed publicly since February 1, 2020 due in large part to the COVID-19 hiatus. Mike mentioned in various interviews he has been working on the follow-up to 2017’s OGOGO. The bassist did team with guitarist Leo Kottke for a studio album, 2020’s Noon, and tour late last year.
Northlands made its debut this past summer and drew over 12,000 fans to the Fairgrounds. Andy Frasco & The U.N., Too Many Zooz, Kitchen Dwellers, Neighbor, Doom Flamingo, Doogs In A Pile and Karina Rykman round out the initial Northlands 2023 lineup. Twiddle’s appearance will be one of their last festival plays before starting an indefinite hiatus at the of the year.
In addition to the music, Northlands will host some of New England’s finest artisans and food and beverage vendors with options including clothing, fine art, jewelry, local craft beers from New Hampshire’s Amoskeag Beverages, cocktails and more. Organizers are also focusing on significantly reducing the festival’s carbon footprint with the launch of an industry-leading recycling program.
Ticket sales start this Friday, December 2 at 12 p.m. ET with general admission, car camping, RV camping and VIP experiences available for the full weekend.
