Noel Gallagher added fuel to speculation that Oasis will return to the road in 2027. The guitarist hinted at potential plans for next summer when asked directly about the band’s future during an appearance on talkSPORT.

Gallagher joined hosts Andy Goldstein and Darren Bent on Wednesday’s episode of Drive for a conversation largely focused on his beloved Manchester City. Goldstein eventually turned the discussion to Oasis and asked whether rumors that the band would perform again next summer were true.

“It’s Liam, isn’t it? He’s not into it. He’s not into Oasis anymore,” Noel initially joked, referring to his brother and bandmate Liam Gallagher.

Goldstein then pointed out that Liam is taking a break from social media. “Well, then there must be something happening,” Noel replied before offering a more intriguing hint.

“Let’s put it this way: there’s no football tournament on next year, so we’ve got to do something in the summer, right?” Gallagher said.

Reports of another Oasis tour have circulated since the band’s hugely successful Live ’25 reunion run concluded last November. Among the possibilities floated are 12 concerts at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium, home of Manchester City, along with a return to Knebworth. Neither Oasis nor the band’s representatives have announced any 2027 tour dates.

The Knebworth rumors gained additional traction in August when SJM Concerts, the promoter behind Oasis’ Live ’25 tour, secured a license to stage concerts at the Hertfordshire site. The license allows events for as many as 125,000 people and remains in effect indefinitely. Oasis famously performed for a combined 250,000 fans over two nights at Knebworth in August 1996, with approximately 2.5 million people reportedly applying for tickets.

Liam Gallagher has contributed his share of mixed signals about the band’s future. Last December, the singer told fans Oasis wouldn’t perform in 2026. More recently, he dismissed speculation that the group would headline Glastonbury in 2027 while simultaneously posting, “Ffs RKID announce the tour we’re all losing our minds.”

Oasis reunited in 2025 after a 16-year absence. The 41-show Live ’25 Tour began in Cardiff on July 4 and visited the UK, Ireland, North America, Asia, Australia and South America before concluding with a two-night stand in São Paulo on November 22 and 23.
