Vic Mensa & Chance The Rapper Unpack ‘Suitcase’ Together In Chicago

Vic Mensa brought out fellow Chicago native Chance the Rapper to perform “Suitcase” on Wednesday at Garcia’s Chicago. The hometown collaboration came late in the concert that is part of Mensa’s INNANETOUR, a four-city run celebrating the streaming release of his debut mixtape, INNANETAPE.

Mensa and Chance have known each other since their teens. Mensa appeared on “Family” from Chance’s 2012 mixtape 10 Day. Mensa and fellow Chicago rapper Twista guested on “Cocoa Butter Kisses” on Chance’s 2013 Acid Rap mixtape.

Chance returned the favor by appearing on “Tweakin’” from Mensa’s INNANETAPE, released in September 2013. “Suitcase” was then released as a single in December 2013. Chance joined Mensa for “Suitcase” at Metro in Chicago in November 2014.

Mensa recently appeared on “Back To The Go” from Chance’s 2025 album, Star Line. Earlier this year, Chance was the first guest on Mensa’s newly launched podcast, The Vic Mensa Show.

During his set at Garcia’s on Wednesday, Mensa performed portions of “Tweakin’” and “Cocoa Butter Kisses.” The INNANETOUR wraps November 10 with two shows at The Blue Note in New York City.
