Nine Inch Nails played a special concert on Saturday at Blossom Music Center near their hometown of Cleveland. The band’s current lineup was joined by former members Charlie Clouser, Richard Patrick, Danny Lohner and Chris Vrenna for the last six songs of the night. Nine Inch Nails shared pro-shot video featuring “Wish,” one of the tunes played with the alumni.
Saturday’s show came in honor of Nine Inch Nails’ 2020 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. The group’s first Northeast Ohio concert since 2013 was originally slated as two-night stand at Cleveland’s Jacobs Pavilion that was canceled along with the rest of their 2021 tour dates due to a surge in COVID-19 cases.
Founder Trent Reznor and the latest NIN iteration (Atticus Ross, Robin Finck, Alessandro Cortini and Ilan Rubin) took the stage at Blossom following support sets from Nitzer Ebb and Ministry. Reznor and company rolled through 17 songs spanning various eras of the band’s history before Clouser, Patrick, Lohner and Vrenna came aboard for the tour’s first “Eraser.”
The expanded lineup went on to roll through oldies “Wish,” “Sin” and “Gave Up.” Richard Patrick then led the ensemble through “Hey Man Nice Shot” from his post-Nine Inch Nails band Filter. The evening concluded with a joint performance of the beloved “Head Like A Hole.” View pro-shot video of “Wish” from Saturday’s concert below:
