Nick Cassarino Covers Sam Cooke’s ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’

Live For Live Music shared video of Nick Cassarino covering Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come.” The footage comes from The Nth Power frontman’s performance for the recent Quarantine Comes Alive virtual music festival.

Quarantine Comes Alive also saw Cassario teaming up with longtime friend and collaborator Jennifer Hartswick for a cover of the Radiohead classic “Creep.” “A Change Is Gonna Come” originally appears on Cooke’s 1964 album, Ain’t That Good News, and was scheduled to come out as a single in December of that year. Sadly, Cooke was shot and killed in Los Angeles on December 11. Covering the late great Sam Cooke is no easy feat but Cassarino handles the vocals on the timeless civil rights anthem very well.
