Jennifer Hartswick and Nick Cassarino were among the 70+ performers who took part in Saturday’s Quarantine Comes Alive, a marathon virtual music festival from which a portion of proceeds benefitted the PLUS1 COVID-19 Relief Fund. Hartswick and Cassarino’s cover of “Creep” by Radiohead was among the many higlights of the inaugural Quarantine Comes Alive.
Most of the performances featured in Quarantine Comes Alive were filmed specifically for the event. There was also a smattering of archival footage included. SiriusXM’s Ari Fink hosted QCA, which was organized by Live For Live Music and saw a number of bands such as Greensky Bluegrass, The Infamous Stringdusters, Turkuaz and ALO reunite remotely for their contribution to the event. Donations can still be made with participating artists, Sweet Relief, Backline, MusiCares, Trans Lifeline, World Central Kitchen and Cneter For Disaster Philanthropy among receipients in addition to the PLUS1 COVID-19 Relief Fund.

Vermont natives, longtime friends and tour mates Hartswick and Cassarino filmed their take on “Creep” from Radiohead’s debut studio album, Pablo Honey, in separate locations. Nick provides a minimalist acoustic guitar track over which Jennifer sings. Hartswick raises her voice from a sweet angelic tone to a powerful and beautiful roar by the end of the cover.
