Neil Young, Metallica, My Morning Jacket & Roger Waters Among 2016 Bridge School Benefit Performers

Once again, Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California will host the Bridge School Benefit concerts this fall. The performances put together for The Bridge School which serves those with severe speech and physical impairments will take place October 22 and 23. Today, the unbelievable lineup for the events has been revealed.

Neil Young & Promise Of The Real, Metallica, Roger Waters, Dave Matthews, case/lang/viers, Willie Nelson, My Morning Jacket, Norah Jones, Cage The Elephant and Nils Lofgren are all aboard for the Bridge School ’16 benefits. Tickets go on sale August 29. Artists generally perform acoustic sets.

This year’s concerts are the 30th annual Bridge School benefits as the tradition was started in 1986 and has been held every year besides 1987. Young has performed at each one. Metallica last played at the event in 2007 and also performed at the 1997 installment. Roger Waters will be making his Bridge School benefit debut. Matthews’ previous Bridge School appearance took place in 2011 for a set with Tim Reynolds. MMJ will be making their third appearance at the event having also performed in 2007 and 2013. Nelson returns after 13 years following his last Bridge School performance in 2003.
