Jimmy Fallon & Gregory Alan Isakov Join Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats At MSG

After appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats stuck around New York City to perform Thursday night at a sold-out Madison Square Garden. Jimmy Fallon returned the favor and joined Nathaniel Rateliff and his bandmates during the show’s encore.

Singer-songwriter Gregory Alan Isakov opened the MSG concert and later returned to sit-in with Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats. The guest spot featured a performance of “Flowers,” the collaborative single the pair recently released.

After closing their main set with Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing In The Dark,” Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats kicked off the encore with “S.O.B.” In the midst of performing “S.O.B.,” Rateliff said he needed some help, at which point Fallon emerged and helped sing the remainder of the song.

Earlier in the evening, Rateliff marked the occasion of playing the storied New York City arena by using a snippet of Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Only Living Boy In New York” as the intro to “And It’s Still Alright.”
