Watch Youngster Nandi Bushell Show Off Multi-Instrumental Prowess On ‘Sir Duke’ Cover

The 12-year-old prodigy plays drums, sax and bass on the Stevie Wonder classic.

Though 12-year-old musician Nandi Bushell is best known for her drumming skills, the Ipswich, England resident is learning how to play saxophone and bass. Bushell recently released a video displaying her multi-instrumental prowess on a cover of the Stevie Wonder classic “Sir Duke.”

Nandi Bushell first came into prominence when her drum battle with Dave Grohl went viral in 2020. Bushell sat-in with Foo Fighters last year and took part in the London Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert this past September.

Stevie Wonder was a fitting pick for Nandi to emulate as Wonder was also a child prodigy. Stevie scored his first No. 1 hit in 1963 with “Fingertips” when he was just 13. Like Bushell, Wonder is highly skilled at multiple instruments including drums.

“Sir Duke” is featured on Stevie Wonder’s iconic 1976 album Songs In The Key Of Life. Check out Nandi’s version below:
